Bioscience is brought to life through engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that spark curiosity and exploration. Students investigate big questions using hands-on experiments and real-world observations. “Living libraries” of animals and plants encourage opportunities to study animal behavior, structure, and life cycles up close within the classroom and by utilizing six themed gardens on campus. Through the study of local ecosystems, students gain an understanding of the relationship between living and non-living components and the importance of being environmental stewards. Lessons integrate STEM skills by incorporating math, literacy, and technology, while hands-on investigations help students connect scientific concepts to the world around them.
