At Goldsboro Elementary Magnet School, our academic program is designed to meet our students needs and to set high expectations for learning. Throughout the state-of-the-art campus, our diverse student population participates in many magnet specific areas including a Bioscience Lab, Robotics & Computer Science Lab, Exploration Lab, our award-winning Kids Space Center and our Exporation Center.

Enrollment

Assignment to Goldsboro Elementary Magnet School (GEMS) is by application only, meaning each student who currently attends GEMS applied and was accepted to attend our school. Click here to learn more about enrollment and tours.

Program Link

Students who complete fifth grade at Goldsboro Elementary Magnet School have the opportunity to continue their interest at Sanford Middle School Magnet. To apply, submit an online application at scpsflc.scriborder.com.

Students who submit an application on time, are given priority placement.

The space and bioscience labs give kids a hands-on way to interact with many amazing aspects of our world, from the very foundations of biology, to the vast expanses of space. These labs showcase the wonders of the environment around us and inspire children by encouraging them to think beyond the mundane. It gives our children the opportunity to be amazed by nature, and it prepares them to take care of their earth, because this world is their future.
