Magnet School Enrollment Information

All elementary students residing in Seminole County are eligible to apply to an elementary magnet school.  Assignment is by application only.  Students are assigned based on seat availability through a random selection process.  There is a sibling link for students to attend the same school that his/her sibling currently attends.  The new student is required to submit an application during the on time application period.  Current students do not need to re-apply.  The on time application period is January 1, 2018 to March 1, 2018.  Elementary Magnet Schools include Goldsboro Elementary Math, Science, & Technology Magnet, Hamilton Elementary School of Engineering & Technology, and Midway Elementary School of the Arts.  Families who are interested in having their child attend a magnet school beginning in August 2018 should apply online during the ON TIME APPLICATION PERIOD!  For more information please contact the Choices Department:

Magnet Curriculum



 Goldsboro offers all students the unique opportunity to experience each of our specialized Math, Bioscience, Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science and the Kids Space Center labs throughout the year.  STEM lab specialist collaborate and work closely with classroom teachers to provide enriching activities that reinforce and enhance concepts taught in the regular classroom.
