Goldsboro is honored to have
been selected as a NASA Explorer School. This partnership
with NASA gives Goldsboro access to NASA Education Specialists,
educational resources and programs. Students and teachers
participate in interactive lessons conducted by Distance Learning
professionals from NASA at Kennedy Space Center and other
educational resources through video conferencing.
Goldsboro
is an "A" school and has been designated as a
"5 Star School" by the State of Florida. Our
school is proof that when parents, students and teachers work
together, we can raise our level of achievement.
Children
are the stars in our world at Goldsboro Elementary. The
academic program is designed to meet their needs and to set high
expectations for learning. Through a curriculum focus of math,
science and technology, we pledge to provide the highest standard of
education to all students.
Our
incredible facility features large, well-equipped classrooms, a
math/science laboratory suite, four computer labs and the Goldsboro
"Kids Space Center." Every classroom has a minimum of
four computers, a teacher presentation station and access to
printers.
Many
teachers hold advanced degrees, including the nationally recognized
masters degree from the Lockheed Martin/UCF Masters Academy for
Math/Science Education. In addition, we are proud that our
faculty includes National Board Certified teachers.
School
volunteers, mentors and community leaders provide support to
students and teachers. Daily, they perform many tasks that
benefit the education process in our school. At Goldsboro,
parent participation is encouraged and appreciated at every
level.
